Introduction:

There is a time for everything in life.....
Ecclesiastes 3:1–8 KJV 1900
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace.
This is a time to speak as well as millions all over the world have spoken out about the brutal act against George Floyd and countless others caught on tape and not on tape. Its a time to speak about racial injustice and the need to call this nation back to repentance from the sin of racism against the Imagio Dei ( the image of God) ......the crimes against humanity over the last 401 years of this nations existence, to start discussions on HR 40, “ Reparations”
WASHINGTON — African American faith leaders spoke in front of the historic St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. to respond to President Donald Trump's actions during "Justice for George Floyd" protests around the city and country.
During a news conference on Tuesday, officials from St. John's expressed their frustrations and hurt towards the president's decision to take a photo op with an "upside-down" bible in front of the place of worship Monday evening.
“Mr. President I know you stood right here and held the bible in your hands and we know that you do not hold the bible in your heart,” said one of the faith leaders.

As we looked at this current President , many of us made decisions about his faith, and anything else that entered our minds as we looked at that picture after he used federal law enforcement to push out peaceful protesters minutes before his photo Opp.

FOR MANY OF US, THAT WAS HIS 3 O CLOCK
I asked myself the question......God, How can he still live......strike him......
Then I answered my own question .....look at the picture and learn from it......
I saw a man holding the word of God upside down standing in front of a burnt out boarded up church crying out cryptic language to his political base, “ law and Order” To myself I said this leader is cursed and this nation is cursed to have him if we don’t respond in faith.......because 3’O clock is coming......
What is 3’O clock.....to me , 3’ O clock is a time when judgement has been rendered to someone with the intention to carry it out.....
Before 3’ o clock strikes, we can learn something about the season were living in now......
The NIV Application Commentary: Mark The Cursing of the Fig Tree (11:12–14, 20–25)

The fig tree incident brackets the temple action and interprets it. It reveals more clearly that Jesus does not intend to cleanse the temple. Instead, his actions visually announce its disqualification.

Mark puts the cart before the horse in a sense by giving us the interpretation of Mark 11:15-26.
Matthew puts the cart behind the horse by giving us the temple event then the explanation of it by the fig tree illustration....
Know this.....We are in a season where temples have been cleared and now we are forced to look at ourselves ......in light of the messiah’s time or season of return......
The Key word in our text today is given in v13 “ for it was not the season for figs”
In Ecclesiastes 3, the word season/time must be defined.
There are two basic words in the Greek that are translated time. Interestingly, both appear in Acts 1:7: "And he [Christ] said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." "Times" is chronos (<G5550>; English, chronometer), which basically means "time, course of time, passage of time," or more precisely, "space of time whose duration is not as a rule precisely determined." Measured human watch
Kairos- Indefinite amount of time .....Religious term........Set by God......God’s watch This text is set under Kairos.......Its God reflection on humanity......
Point 1- Season of Desire v12
The paradox of the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ is summed up in the words of Paul in 2 Cor. 8:9, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
The Creator became a helpless infant, dependent upon His mother for everything. He owned all things, yet He possessed nothing.
He created the stars, yet He had nowhere to lay His Own head, Matt. 8:20.
He fashioned everything there is out of nothing, yet He had to borrow a boat from which to preach His Gospel.
He created every drop of water that exists in the world, yet He cried “I thirst” as He was dying on the cross, John 19:28.
He created every tree, but He died on a borrowed cross.
He created every rock, but He had to borrow a tomb in which to be buried.
He used the clouds as His chariots, Psa. 104:3, yet He had to borrow a donkey on which to ride.
Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Greek (New Testament) 4277 πεινάω

4277 πεινάω (peinaō): vb.; ≡ Str 3983; TDNT 6.12—1. LN 23.29 be hungry, be in a state of hunger (Mt 25:35); 2. LN 25.17 desire strongly (Mt 5:6; Lk 6:21+)

All of these things are clear evidence of His humanity. When Jesus was born into this world, He remained fully God, but He became fully man, Phil. 2:5-8. This is seen in many areas of His life. Jesus experienced hunger — Mark 11:12 ( Psa. 50:12)
Jesus experienced thirst — John 19:28 ( Isa. 40:12)
Jesus experienced weariness — John 4:6; Mark 4:38 ( Psa. 121:4)
Jesus experienced pain — Matt. 27:35; Isa. 52:14; Isa. 53:4-6 ( Psa. 2:4)
Jesus experienced rejection — John 1:11; John 7:3-5 ( Gen. 1:26)
Jesus experienced loneliness — Matt. 26:56 ( Pro. 15:3; Heb. 13:5)
Jesus experienced poverty — Matt. 8:20 ( Psa. 50:10-12)
The Lord wants the best for you.......
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV 1900
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
God has a heart for you......Not like that other guy.......
Point 2- His Disappointment v13
The text tells that Jesus is hungry. As He walks Jesus sees a “fig tree afar off”. The tree is in full leaf, so Jesus goes to it hoping to find some figs to eat. When He comes to the tree, He finds nothing but leaves. Then the text tells us that “the time of figs was not yet”.
This fig tree was deceptive because its leaves promised something the tree could not deliver. The leaves promised fruit, but there was none.
There was nothing wrong with the soil. There was nothing wrong with the sap. There was simply no fruit. This tree had been given everything it needed to flourish.
It sat in a good location. It grew in good soil. It had enjoyed
Life is a long preparation for something that never happens.” – W.B. Yeats.“The cost of mediocrity is disappointment.”
We have all experience disappointment in our lives.....Things we expect in our lives that may never happen.......We can learn in our seasons of disappointments
We can see when we have invested time in something and see no results.....you pour out your time talent and treasure and nothing......know that the Lord has poured out blessing in our life and expects a return.....He has bless you with sunshine, rain, food clothing and shelter, he has placed some of us in positions of authority that we do not deserve.....yet.....when the season of examination comes, he see’s nothing......If He gives you one talent , make it 2.....if He gives you 5, make it 10.
Illustration: You can tell a fake Gold from real gold.......Fake gold turns colors, No stamp of approval, and is made from another substance.......
Stop turning colors and look like that fool in the white house.....just because you tote a bible and stand outside a church don’t mean you have no fruit.....Jesus is hungry and is ready for breakfast.... He’s looking at us right now......what do he see, does he see figs, or he see just leaves.....
Tony Evans tells us:
Ultimately, Jesus’s actions in this instance were symbolic. Though the tree showed signs of life and productivity, in reality it was barren. The same was true of Israel—especially in the case of its religious leaders. They looked righteous and godly on the outside, but on the inside they were corrupt. Their lack of faith meant that they were also barren—producing no fruit for God. Many people today are like that too. They attend church regularly, carry fancy Bibles, and shout “Amen!” But there’s a lack of spiritual vitality inside them; thus, there’s no kingdom fruit in their lives.
When you go and get something to eat in the hood, and their food anint right......folk be trippin.....don’t just look like a christian.....act like one....its hard, its tough, but through our season of disappointment, we can learn to be genuine…Don’t just hold the bible after wiping your mouth of innocent protesters........stand with the people.....
Job 23:10 KJV 1900
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Point 3- Season of Declaration....v14
The video message which was posted early Thursday has amassed over 7 million views.
Johnson goes on to ask: "Where is our compassionate leader who's going to step up to our country who's down on its knees, and extend a hand and say, 'You stand up, stand up with me because I got you. I hear you, I'm listening to you. And you have my word that I'm going to do everything in my power, until my dying day, my last breath, to do everything I can to create the change that is needed, to normalize equality because Black Lives Matter.' Where are you?"
Again, this is a picture of the nation of Israel. Because they promised life but only delivered bondage and dead religion, they were cursed as well. We know from the historical record that Israel was judged for their rejection of the Lord Jesus. They paid a high price for their hypocrisy. They were destroyed by Rome in 70 AD and the population that survived were scattered around the world. Their nation ceased to exist for nearly 1,900 years. The nation of Israel was reborn in 1948, but they still stand under God's judgment to this day. One day, when Jesus returns in glory, the curse will be lifted and Israel will flourish again. But for now, they are paying Time can run out for fruitless trees and prayerless temples. Fruitlessness now when the Messiah has come means fruitlessness forever. It is not the time of the temple’s consummation but its consumption. Just as the fig tree was not pruned and manured so that it might bear fruit but cursed so that it died, so the temple was not cleansed so that it could continue in more fitting service to God; rather, it would soon come to an end
Matthew 21:21–22 KJV 1900
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Let us move within this season and learn that we can be a curse or a blessing.......If you are a curse......
Galatians 5:19–21 KJV 1900
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
but ....When you are declared a blessing....you are Having faith in God.......you are a woman and man of prayer......
Hebrews 11:6 KJV 1900
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
When you seek Him, yo shall find Him.......you will bear the fruit in season or out of season whether in Chronos or Kairos......in the season of declaration do you declare faith or you going to focused on being a photo opp .....Is is pleased with you.....is he pleased with me......Have faith in God.....don’t worry about these thrones down here.....Take you protest, your complaint, to the throne .....
Hebrews 4:14–16 KJV 1900
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
He has compassion for us......He know us .......he became like us to save us......
Preach the Cross....
